At the end of 2007, I left the big yoga center in our area after teaching there 7 years. I opened up a small, intimate yoga studio in the basement of a church in the beginning of 2008.
I have been blessed by the support of my long-time students, most of whom came with me to my new little yoga studio. I have also drawn quite a few new students from the neighborhood, and I love the idea that some of my students walk or bike to yoga class--and so do I!
YogaDay USA was a great way for me to celebrate my first anniversary at the church. We raised a little money for the church and had a wonderful time doing yoga and having a little food afterwards. And, I gained some new students!
At the begining of each class that I taught on YogaDay USA, I reminded the students that we were doing yoga with many other students all across the nation. It was a great day!
